I'm a drummer living in Oslo, Norway. I've been studying for several years at the Norwegian Academy of Music, from which I have obtained a masters degree in improvised music. Also, I recently received a two-year grant for young artists from the Norwegian Council of Arts. I'm a member of several bands, and the founder of two. My own projects include Eple Trio and Navyelectre, in which I'm both a musician and composer. Navyelectre has released two albums, the latest entitled 'The Mourning' which was released on my own label Shipwreckords in April 2008. Eple Trio has released two albums, both on NORCD. I do some solo improvisational work as well, focusing on minimalistic and rythmic improvisation using weird circuit bent casio's, a Machinedrum (Elektron), kalimbas and other things.
In addition to this I play drums with Karl Seglems newest quartet, and we released a CD this year entitled 'norskjazz.no' on the German label Ozella Music. I also play the drums in Ignore, a project driven by Gaute Storsve.
